Privacy policy
Last updated October 31, 2026
The short version: this website doesn't track you, doesn't use cookies, and doesn't collect anything. If you text, email or message me, I use what you send only to talk with you about your website. I never sell it or share it.
Who I am
This is the website of Marcman Web Services, run by Marc Frankel in North Carolina. Questions about this policy go to marcmanwebservices@gmail.com or a text to (754) 265-3592.
What this website collects
Nothing on purpose. There are no forms, no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no cookies. The "Try Backstage" demo runs entirely in your own browser. Whatever you type there stays on your screen and disappears when you leave the page.
When you contact me
The Text, Email and Facebook buttons open your own texting app, email app or Messenger. Nothing goes through this website. When you reach out, I get whatever you send me, like your name, phone number, email address and message. I use it only to reply to you and to work with you on your website. I don't sell it, rent it or share it with anyone, and I don't add you to any mailing list.
Things that happen automatically
- Server logs. Like nearly every website, the server that hosts this site keeps standard logs: your IP address, the type of browser you use, the pages you asked for and when. These are used only for security and fixing problems, and are kept for a limited time.
- Fonts. This site uses the Inter font from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers to download it. Google describes how it handles that in its privacy policy.
- Facebook. If you tap "Message me on Facebook," you're on Facebook's Messenger, and Facebook's privacy policy applies there.
Websites I build for clients
This policy covers marcman.site only. The websites and Backstage control panels I build for my clients are their websites, and their own privacy policies apply.
Changes
If anything here changes, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
